About Darknestia – a Tibia 7.4 custom retro project
Darknestia is a free, old school Tibia 7.4 OTS (open Tibia server) that opened its doors in August 2026. It is a custom retro project: the classic 7.4 world – map, monsters, spells, quests and combat formulas – is the foundation, and on top of it we build custom content and the comfort players missed back in 2004. The project is young and still being shaped; this page says honestly what is there today and what is not decided yet.
What kind of server is Darknestia?
If you are looking for a retro OTS, an old school Tibia 7.4 server or a custom 7.4 project, this is what Darknestia is: the 7.4 era as the base, played with a dedicated client, and extended with custom additions over time. It is not a pure 1:1 copy of 2004 and it is not a 8.6/10.x world – it is retro with a custom twist.

What is “custom” about it?
- Dedicated Darknestia client – the 7.4 look and feel with smooth walking, configurable hotkeys (Ctrl+K), an NPC trade window and a colour-coded loot channel.
- Quality of life on the 7.4 base – walk-through in protection zones, remembered open backpacks, character autosave every 10 minutes, server auto-restart after the daily save.
- Custom content – Darknestia is meant to grow beyond the 2004 content; new features and changes are announced in the news as they land.
- Fair PvP – unjustified kills expire on their own (no daily/weekly/monthly limits) and there is no experience from killing players.
How to start playing
- Create a free account and your first character (Knight, Paladin, Sorcerer or Druid).
- Download the Darknestia client for Windows from the Downloads page.
- Log in to world darknestia.com and start on the classic 7.4 map.
